Ah B Cafe was on my list of cafes to visit since it opened late last year. But knowing that I prefer beaches and parks, cafes were a low priority to the humans. We finally made it there when Sam’s mama picked us up for a friend’s birthday lunch!
We really like the location of Ah B Cafe. It’s part of Sunny Heights, which has free parking and a fantastic dog pool. It also has a fenced outdoor space, which means you don’t really have to worry about dogs escaping when someone opens the cafe door.
The décor is simple but cosy, and the place appears to be clean and well-maintained. When mama spoke with the owner, it was clear that she is very strict with hygiene – there’s a hand sanitiser on every table, the cafe is regularly and thoroughly cleaned, and even the tap water at the hand wash sink is filtered! A sensitive pup like me will definitely appreciate this.
Mama ordered their signature Teriyaki Chicken topped with mashed potato ($18.80), and the humans got cheese fries and mid wings to share. Mama says the menu had limited options, but the food sure smelt pretty decent to me!
Price: 7/10. Pricier than some other pet-friendly cafes at S$20+ per pax. A minimum spending of S$18 per adult and S$10 per child is applicable for indoor seating.
Taste: 7.5/10. The Teriyaki Chicken mama had was tasty, but the rich sauce that coated the chicken got a little too much for her towards the end. The mid wings and cheese fries were just so-so.
Dog/human-friendliness: 10/10. Free parking! The cafe is spacious and the outdoor area is definitely a plus point. You can also get some treats for fido at BossiPaws next door. Dogs that are territorial markers will have to put on a pet diaper.
