When it comes to choosing good dog treats for me, mama has a few straightforward criteria. It has to:
- ideally be freeze/air-dried to preserve nutrients
- have a short ingredients list. Preferably consists of a single protein from a credible source
- be free of fillers and added salt, sugar, flavourings, colourings, and preservatives
Her set of criteria will basically cut out the majority of the dog treats in the market. No matter how drool-worthy the treat packaging looks, good treats should only contain quality and safe ingredients.
